Project Polyphony
Project Polyphony weaves seamlessly into the fabric of my identity, an inseparable facet of my very being. It is a testament to my relentless yearning to create music.
The idea behind this project is to embody my vision of uniting diverse artists from around the world to craft a collective musical narrative. In 2016, the project unveiled its first two demos. The inaugural piece, 'The Miracle of Jade,' showcased the enchanting vocals of Merlynn James, the intricate guitar work of Sanjay Kumar (FOI), and the rhythmic prowess of drummer Shawn Jacob. The second demo, 'When Mercury Met Pluto,' featured the return of Jacob, alongside the skilled guitarist Dhananjay Pepalla (Gihon).
While numerous demos were recorded during this period, these two were the sole offerings made public. It wasn't until the end of 2016 that Project Polyphony had more demos to publish. This time, the collaborative efforts expanded to include talents like Ronny Hansen (Antestor), Sajoy Cherian (Chaotic Years), and Shravan Sridhar (The Non-Violinist Project), further enriching the project's artistic tapestry.
In March 2022, I started to embark on an exhilarating journey, entering the pre-production phase for the project's debut full-length album, titled 'On-ṯu.' This ambitious undertaking not only welcomes back familiar artists but also boasts an array of new talents, including luminaries like Century Khoury (Dominus Dominantium), Sam Moris, and Joseph Samuel (Final Surrender), to name just a few.
In a satisfying culmination, I marked 14th of April 2023 with the release of Project Polyphony's inaugural official single, 'River Red.' This song sets the stage for the album's narrative, which revolves around three characters: The Dreamer, the Poet, and the Fool.
'River Red' delves deep into the world of the Dreamer, taking listeners on an emotional odyssey as she navigates the poignant landscape of loss. It is a haunting elegy that unfolds the heartbreaking story of her beloved Poet, tragically lost to the shadows of suicide. Through soul-stirring melodies sung by the remarkable Century Khoury, and through its evocative lyrics, the song paints a vivid picture of this melancholic journey, inviting us all to join the Dreamer in her exploration of love, sorrow, and the human spirit.
What sets 'On-ṯu' apart is its grandeur, as the album will feature a complete symphony orchestra meticulously recorded from the comfort of their homes, spanning different corners of the globe. This monumental collaboration transcends borders and unites artists to tell a story as a collective.

"Artists coming together to form a sustain, for music’s very own sake"
My heart swells with gratitude towards these extraordinary artists scattered across the globe. Them sharing their music with me is the lifeblood of Project Polyphony, infusing it with an exhilarating fervour. It's an honour and privilege beyond measure to witness these remarkable talents breathe soul into my songs, with each note becoming a testament to the unifying power of music.

🚨📣 NEW RELEASE 📣🚨
The Broken is the second official single from Project Polyphony taken out of the upcoming album, On-ṯu. The album follows three characters: The Dreamer, the Poet, and the Fool. The Broken follows the journey of the Fool, who is quick to anger, reactions, and unrest. Though his heart is at the right place, the fool rallies those who follow him into outbursts, riots, and violence. He lets his emotions colour his heart, blames everyone he thinks is responsible for the sufferings around him, and announces himself to be a vessel for God's judgement and righteousness. The Broken is crafted for the downtrodden. It is an impassioned cry that unleashes righteous fury against the shadows of violence and injustice. "Let this song be a rallying cry for change. May peace finally grace our troubled world." |
